This time, in our tips and tricks, we would like to show you an additional way of effectively managing changing temporary employees. Staff leasing - that is, borrowing employees from other companies - can also be organised in this way.

The idea behind this method is that with frequently changing temporary staff you do not have to record a new resource every time, and the temporary staff needed can also be scheduled in advance. That way the capacity planning for the week in question is correct even before a suitable employee has been found.

How do I create such a placeholder?

First you create a new resource in the master data, name it for example Temp employee and assign it to the department you want. In the deployment planning this employee can then be scheduled as required, acting as a placeholder for a specific temporary or borrowed employee. On days when no temporary staff are needed, these placeholders can simply be set to absent. Of course, several such placeholders can also be created.

As soon as the right employee has been found for the placeholder, important information such as name or telephone number can easily be added as a note for the assignment.
