Important: set up user permissions first
So that your employees can create new projects in the mobile app, you first need to set the user permissions in the web app.
Here's how:
➡️ Under Administration, go to Devices
➡️ Select the relevant device
➡️ Click on Mobile phone settings
Here you can set the following permissions:
🔹 Edit assignments
The employee can edit existing project assignments
🔹 Create new orders
The employee can create new projects directly in the mobile app.
This setting is a prerequisite for creating projects in the mobile app.
How project creation works
Creating a project in the mobile app involves two steps:
➡️ Create the project
➡️ Schedule the employee directly onto the project
The project is thus added directly to a resource and their assignment scheduled onto it.
Adding a project
➡️ Since you assign the project directly to a resource, first open that resource's schedule. For example, open the day view or the resource view.
➡️ Now select a resource – you will now see this employee's schedule.
➡️ Next to each assignment you'll find a project icon. Click on it.
Now you can:
🔹 select an existing project or
🔹 create a new project via the plus icon.
➡️ We want to create a new project – so click on the plus icon.
Entering the project data
The project entry view now opens.
➡️ Here you set the project name and find further settings similar to those in the web app
🔹 The project manager is automatically the employee whose schedule you opened. This can, however, be changed at any time.
🔹 The project phase can also be changed.
Defining the assignment data
Now, by clicking on Event data, switch to the view in which you define the selected employee's assignment to the project.
🔷 The date you previously selected in the schedule is already preset – but it can be adjusted.
➡️ Now enter the resource's assignment data on the project.
🔷 The Project data button lets you return to project creation at any time.
🔶 Clicking on Save will:
🔷 create the new project
🔷 and at the same time schedule the resource's assignment onto it
