General Questions

Which subscription is right for my business?

We recommend the Business subscription to most of our customers. This includes the digital display board for the workshop or recreation room as well as the user-defined filtering profiles.   

The Economy subscription is our basic version. It is perfect for you if you are looking for a visual tool for intuitive scheduling with an assignment and absence plan.

The more comprehensive version is the Professional subscription. With this you also have the capacity plan, which allows you to ideally adjust your staff planning to your company's workload.   

The most comprehensive subscription level is the Enterprise subscription. Here you can use all our features without restrictions and benefit from our latest functions, such as teams or production.

What do I do if my business grows excessively?

Up to a certain extent, the growth of your company and the number of your employees is included. In Vanillaplan, the number of active employees is automatically registered. If your number of employees increases excessively, we will contact you and create a supplement.

Where can I find explanatory videos?

In six short videos, we explain to you how Vanillaplan works. You can simply fill out the form on this page. Feel free to take a look.

Alternatively, can I get a personal explanation of the software?

Yes, you can always make an appointment for a non-binding webinar with us, in which we show you how Vanillaplan works.

Kostenlos Testen und Onboarding

Is there any way to test Vanillaplan before buying?

Yes, you can test our software for a period of 14 days with your own data.

How does the testing work?

If you click on the button "test" on our homepage, you will be forwarded to a form in which you enter your data. We will then contact you. However, before you try out Vanillaplan, we recommend that you watch the explanatory videos or attend a non-binding webinar with us.

How does the data exchange work?

We send you a predefined Excel spreadsheet for the transfer of your data, with a detailed description and an explanatory video on how to enter it. After you send us the completed table, we open a test account for you and read in your data. Then the onboarding takes place.

How does the onboarding work?

After we have read your data into Vanillaplan, we make an appointment for an onboarding webinar. Here we explain to you in a personal conversation how the software works and give you tips on how you can best work with it. The onboarding takes about two hours - and then you can get started.

Questions during the test phase?

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time. We will be happy to answer your questions. During the test phase, our support is free of charge and as a Vanillaplan customer it is included in the subscription fees.

Order and payment

What happens after the 14-day trial period?

During the trial period, we will send you an offer based on the number of employees you have, along with various subscription proposals. If you are convinced by Vanillaplan after the trial, you decide on a subscription model.

How does the payment work?

We offer our software as an annual subscription that is paid in advance. Based on the written offer, you will receive an invoice with the start and end date of your subscription. As soon as you have paid the invoice, your subscription begins.


How can I cancel my annual subscription?

The annual subscription must be cancelled in writing at the end of the contract period. The period of notice is three months.


What about the security of my data?

The security of your data is our top priority. As a matter of principle, we comply with the provisions of the Swiss Data Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). To ensure the highest data security standards, we continuously take the following measures:

a) Automated daily data backup outside the data centre where Vanillaplan runs,

b) multi-level protection against data access from another access account,

c) regular auditing of the security of the web application by an external security expert.
